Instructions

  1. Small tin can

I saved some 6oz. flavored almond cans (we've got lots :)), not knowing how I was going to use it.... Well, as they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree (I know that is usually used for a mother/daughter reference, but you get the drift) because although my craft does not involve sewing, I can use it in the sewing room!

  2. Small modgepodge

I started by cutting a piece of scrap fabric the circumference of the can, basically 11.5 x 2.5, and mod-podged it to the side.

  3. Small fiberfill stuffed

I stuffed the can with fiberfill

  4. Small circle filled

Then took my 5" diameter piece of fabric and filled it in my hand...this will give some loftiness to the cushion...

  5. Small pushing down

And stuffed it down into the sides,

  6. Small stuffing down

making sure to center the circle

  7. Small plastic top

I didn't want to just throw the plastic top away, so I cut it out in the shape of a funky flower

  8. Small flower

...and mod-podged some fabric to it. I used a cute piece of felt for the flower center

  9. Small new pincushion 2nd

And glued the funky flower to the pincushion

  10. Small new pincushion 3rd

I love it and it looks soooo cute in my sewing room
