Description

I started this project to create a striking bracelet and necklace ensemble to go with a black outfit. And so far I only have one necklace and a few bracelets. So much work still to do! But here it goes.

Instructions

  1. Small 2 1

Double tie the embroidery thread around the bangle. Keep the thread tight over the bangle. (See 7.)

  2. Small 2 2

Bring the thread through the bangle towards you.

  3. Small 2 3

Pull the thread tight. At the start, tie the thread over the excess thread. (Shown in 9.)

  4. Small 2 4

From the first "knot", ensure that the thread is next to each other, and that the bangle does not show. Here you can clearly see that the knots are on the inside.

  5. Small 2 5

While the outside is nice and smooth and none of the bangle is showing.

  6. Small 2 6

Snip off the thread, leaving a few inches.

  7. Small 2 7

Double knot your second colour against the previous colour, over the excess of the previous colour.

  8. Small 2 8

Now you place both colours' excess thread against the bangle, and proceed with the knotting as previously.

  9. Small 2 9

Remember to knot it tightly against the previous colour's last knot so that the bangle does not show. Also, pull the two excess thread tightly in the opposite colour of the first colour, to ensure that it does not create a lump.

  10. Small 2 10

You can use as many colours as you want to. Each time doing exactly the same. When you have covered the whole bangle in thread, you can use a needle and simply work the excess thread away, so that it does not loosen.

  11. Small 2 11

Viola! Some of these may seem unnecessary, but rather too much than too few. If you have any questions, just ask.
