A creative, punky, colourful look inspired by the Godmother of Punk Nina Hagen.

Out of all the punk musicians I think Nina had the most 'out there' and unique look of them all. The idea behind this is ... if it looks neat and pretty - then you're doing it wrong! ;)

Instructions

Put a black horizontal line underneath your eye and one coming off at an angle. Don’t be afraid to make them as long as possible. Any black eyeliner will do. I’m using ClINIQUE’S TRUE BLACK LINER. Use some masking tape to help you make those lines neat.

  2. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 004100 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b010627.bmp

Pick a vibrant colour of your choice and apply this to the eyelid. I chose pink to complement my blue eyes. I'm using NEON EYES PINK BY W7.

  3. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 004235 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b010856.bmp

Pick a sheer colour to use as a shadow contour (so not as intense as the lid colour you chose). I think it also adds to the punk if the colour is a bit of an unusual colour. I am using SWIMMING BY MAC. Apply this colour to the contour of the lid

  4. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 004308 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b011053.bmp

Using a colour liner – I’m using a light blue one (AZURE SHIMMER BY RIMMEL) and line the upper lash line. Then add little strokes in random places in you want to

  5. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 005050 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b011328.bmp

Using the black liner – just improvise and have fun

  6. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 005534 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b011709.bmp

Place a light/white colour into the inner corner of your eye for highlight. I used a liquid eyeshadow because I wanted this highlight to deliberately stand out and be unnatural. I used SILVER LIQUID EYE SHADOW BY H&M

  7. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 005634 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b011842.bmp

OPTIONAL – add a little more intensity to your eye contour with a pencil.. I’m using one of the BARRY M CRAYONS – GREEN

  8. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 005829 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b011931.bmp

Can’t be 1980s without OTT blush – I used LA FEMME NO1 BLUSH

  9. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 005914 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b012136.bmp

MASCARA – ANY SO LONG AS IT’S BLACK.  Apply this to your lashes and also to the brow hairs too. You can use falsies if you wish – I didn’t, because I feel they may have overshadowed the eye make up.

  10. Small 114184 2f2016 05 08 010003 fullscreen%2bcapture%2b08052016%2b012403.bmp

OPTIONAL – I used a concealer to lighten/semi cover the outer part of my natural brows. This is because I have naturally thick brows, so this was just a whim for me.

Finish off with a lippie of your choice... I suggest either purple or red. I went with RUBY WOO BY MAC
