Description

Size: Adult: Small (Medium, Large) Circumference: 16” (18”, 20”)

Instructions

  1. Stitch Pattern (knit over 4 stitches): Row 1: Knit Row 2: Knit Row 3: *K1, P1* Row 4: Knit

  2. Directions: With smaller circular needles, cast on 48(52, 56) stitches. PM to indicate beginning of round. Join, being careful not to twist the stitches and knit every round in 2X2 rib (*K2, P2* repeat to end of round) for 2” from cast on edge. Switch to larger needles. Start stitch pattern. Knit stitch pattern rows 1-4 seven times total. -For a less slouchy version knit stitch pattern rows 1-4 six times total

  3. Decrease: Row 1: *K6, K2TOG* *Switch to DPN’s as needed Row 2: *K5, K2TOG* Row 3: *K1, P1, K1, P1, K2TOG* Row 4: *K3, K2TOG* Row 5: *K2, K2TOG* Row 6: *K1, K2TOG* Row 7: *K2TOG*

  4. Finishing: Cut yarn leaving a 4-5 inch long tail and thread onto a needle. Pull needle through remaining stitches and pull tightly to close hole. Turn hat inside out and weave ends in.
