As a kid, one of my favorite movies was the horror classic Nosferatu. It is silent and in black and white, but that makes the sinister shadows cast by the noiselessly creeping vampire all the more terrifying. In one scene, Nosferatu suddenly throws open his coffin and stands up without bending. That’s how I wanted this vampire to wake!

It is silent and in black and white, but that makes the sinister shadows cast by the noiselessly creeping vampire all the more terrifying. In one scene, Nosferatu suddenly throws open his coffin and stands up without bending. That’s how I wanted this vampire to wake!
Carefully fold and glue together the sides of the coffin 1 and 2.
Glue the coffin sides to the base as shown. Match up the design!
Carefully fold and glue together the coffin lid 4. The white glue tabs should be just covered.
Glue the coffin lid to the white area on the coffin side. Make sure it opens and closes freely.
Here’s how it looks so far.
Crease and recrease the folds on parts 5 and 6 several times to loosen them up. Glue the black tab of 6 to the vampire at the mark.
Glue the vampire 5 to the inside bottom of the coffin, exactly over the mark. Make sure it lies down.
Glue the red tab of 6 to the inside of the coffin lid exactly at the mark. Gently open and close the lid to make sure the vampire lies down and stands up properly, and you’re done!
