Lay out your frames on the floor to decide your placement. I was doing my gallery wall over a credenza, so I did this directly in front of the credenza so I knew how wide to go.
Trace each frame onto newspaper or wrapping paper and cut it out. Label each one with a number and mark the corresponding frame too. Then tape the paper cut outs to the wall to decide the final placement.
Decide the placement of the nail for each frame.
Hammer your nail in place and then take the paper off of the wall.
Hang your frame!
