I came up with this braid one lonely day....And I loved it! I would call it a mix between a normal braid and a fish tail braid. It looks really cool, and I wasn't able to catch the complete awesomeness:) Please send in pictures if you try it out! I would love to see them:{D The 'A' Braid was created by Elizabeth Axley. Instructions

  1. Small dscn0222

Take three strands of hair, they can be any length

  2. Small dscn0224

Now, do your first step of a normal braid. In other words, an outer strand, wrap it over the other outer strand and the strand you just went over will go in the middle. Sound confusing? It's harder to explain than it is to do, but it's the beginning of a normal braid, and I would hope you can do one of those ;)

  3. Small dscn0225

Now, you should have your middle strand to one side and your outer strand around it. Each pulled to different sides. You will split your middle strand in half and they will wrap around the outer strands.

  4. Small dscn0226

Pull your outer strands back (as one strand) and split it, it doesn't have to be even. You will continue this pattern of: Split, Wrap, Pull, Repeat. Until you have the length you need!

  5. Small dscn0227

You have an official 'A' Braid! Yay!
