This book case really brings personality to a room! It took forever, but it was well worth it! The only think I paid for in this project was the lacquer which was $12 @ Home Depot. The paper was from an old book and the glue I had laying around my house.

Description

This book case really brings personality to a room! It took forever, but it was well worth it! The only think I paid for in this project was the lacquer which was $12 @ Home Depot. The paper was from an old book and the glue I had laying around my house.

Instructions

  1. Small photoon2010 07 12at1251

Make sure surface is primed. Find some paper- old news paper, and old book, old letters, whatever you want! Cut to the desired size. My strips were 2.25 inches.

  2. Small dsc 0155

Dilute glue with water and apply to back of paper strip (as if you were decoupaging). Apply to surface.

  3. Small dsc 0156

Cover entire surface until desired texture is achieved. Seal bookcase with a lacquer or varnish of some sort. TADA!
