Venezuelan inspired mozzarella sticks
Place the flour in a bowl and cut in the butter, into cubes.
Crumble the flour and butter together.
Beat in the egg and mix in the warm water until it forms a thick dough. Roll into a ball, cling film and refrigerate for an hour.
Cut two sheets of baking paper and roll out a quarter of the dough into a large rectangle.
Cut the dough into long strips.
Cut the mozzarella block into strips.
Wrap a strip of pastry around the mozzarella.
Make sure all the cheese is sealed in the pastry.
Continue this for the remaining cheese and pastry.
Heat a frying pan with a little vegetable oil and fry the tequenos until golden.
Serve with a dipping sauce like bbq.
