Description

This is a stash busting project. All you need is a crochet hook, small amounts of leftover yarn, a bit of fiberfill, a yarn needle, and a key chain and ring—that’s all! Instructions

  1. HEAD Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring with light brown yarn. Round 2: 2 sc in each st across. (12) Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) around. (18) Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) around. (24) Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) around. (30) Round 6-11: Sc around. (30) Round 12: (3 sc, 1 dec) around. (24) Round 13: (2 sc, 1 dec) around. (18) Round 14: (1 sc, 1 dec) around. (12) Stuff firmly. Round 15: Dec around. (6)

  2. MUZZLE Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring with white. Round 2: 2 sc in each st across. (12) Sl st to join.

    NOSE & MOUTH Using a brown crochet thread or embroidery floss sew in nose and mouth as shown in the illustration (a Y with a short base), and attach to face, making sure the lower end of the muzzle is aligned to Round 4 and the top end to Round 8.

  4. EYE (make 2) With dark brown yarn, embroider eyes on either side of the muzzle between Round 7 and 8.

  5. HAT Round 1-11: With the color of your choice, follow instructions given for the Head. Round 12: Join contrasting color. Ch 1 and hdc around. Sl st to join. FO.

  6. EAR (make 2) Round 1: 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 hdc in a magic ring. Pull the loose end of the yarn to form a semi-circle. Sew ears on hat at Round 6, making sure the ears are 8 sts apart.

  7. Sew the top opening of the head close. Secure key chain to hat between the ears, place hat over the head and sew to secure.
