• Step 1

  Starting out: Ch 2.
  Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
  Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (10 sc)
  Rnd 3: Repeat round 2. (20 sc)
  Rnd 4: {2sc, 1 sc in next} Repeat between {} around. (30 sc)

  You are no longer working in rounds.

  Row 1: Sc in next 6 sc's, ch1, turn.
  Row 2: Sc in each sc across, ch1, turn.
  Row 3: Sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc's, ch1, turn.
  Row 4: Sc2tog, sc in ncxt 3 sc's, ch1, turn.
  Row 5: Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc's, ch1, turn.
  Row 6: Sc2tog, sc in next sc, ch1,
  Row 7: Sc2tog
  Row 8: Sc down the side to the first available sc space. (Then repeat row 1-8 four more times.)

  Sc around the star with 3 sc in the tip of each of the 5 points of the star.

  Finish off. Weave ends.
