- Scissors
- Ruler
- Tape
- Stanley Knife
- Card + Foam (To Decorate)
- 2 x Tampon Box
Steps (13 steps, 50 minutes)
-
1
Get two tampon boxes. Take the first box and open it up at one side.
-
2
Cut off the top flaps. Repeat this with the second box but cut off the bottom flaps.
-
3
Take the box that has been cut at the bottom. Draw a line, slightly wider than a tampon, along the top (uncut) edge of the box.
-
4
Cut this line with a stanley knife.
-
5
Cut down either side underneath this line.
-
6
Cut out two flaps from the previously cut out box. Glue the backs off these flaps.
-
7
Fix them on to the inside of the box and on to the main flap.
-
8
Take the other box and draw a line, about 1" wide, around the entire circumference.
-
9
Snip triangles at each of the corners to the height of the line. Score along the line with a stanley knife.
-
10
Glue each of the flaps above the line on the outside.
-
11
Place this box inside the first box and allow the glue to dry and secure in place with a strip of tape.

Choose some kind of material to decorate the box with. You could use wrapping paper, magazines, fabric or even paint it. I choose to use black card. Wrap the box in your chosen material. It may be a good idea to cover the box with decoupage gloss if you are planning on keeping it anywhere that it could get wet.

To make my box more interesting, I made a pink skull and crossbones out of foam and glued it to the front of my box.
