Design your own templates on paper or print mine out above.
Use the paper templates to cut out all of the pieces from the plastic sheet.
Join together all the plastic pieces with duct tape. Start by taping the side flaps on top of the sides and the front and back flaps onto the front and back pieces. Then tape the sides to the front and back pieces.
Finally, tape the base to the bottom of the front piece.
When you're done, you should be able to fold the box up into the right shape. Mark the area where the flap on the top meets the piece underneath.
Cut a slit here wide enough for the flap.
Lay your fabric flat, with the wrong side facing up and lay your plastic template on top.
Cut around the plastic template, leaving a 1/2" seam allowance and tape the edges tightly over the plastic.
Remember to cut the hole for the tab.
When the outside of the bag is covered, fold back up and tape the inside with duct tape to hold the shape.
Pierce a hole in either side and slip through a clasp for the strap.
Trace around your templates onto felt.
Glue the felt lining inside the bag.
Sew an oriental style button closure to the top of the bag. I found mine on the top I cut out for the fabric.
Finally attach a bag strap and you're done!
