Instructions

  1. Stitch guide: Cast on Knit Cast off Seed stitch (first row: knit 1, purl 1, to end. Return row, purl all knit stiches, and knit all purl stitches) Needles used: 6.0 mm Yarn used: T Shirt yarn ( I used 3 balls) Cast on 30 – 40 stitches. (if you want a bigger bag, or have more yarn, change it as you need) Knit each row in seed stitch pattern. (Knit as many rows as you need to create the size you need) Cast off. Sew up the sides. Insert a small zipper to close the bag. I used a plastic one with biggish teeth to match the texture of the T Yarn. Cotton Lining: Sew a small cotton lining for your bag. Measure the size of your bag, cut a piece of cloth to these measurements. Sew up the sides and bottom. Sew a small foldover hem at the top. Stitch the lining to the inside of your bag. Decorate your zipper end with a small piece of cloth sewn over the end, or crochet a small rectangle, fold it over the ends and sew close. You can decorate your bag even further by adding little charms to the zipper pull.
