I made this dress for my niece (the beautiful model seen here) last summer. My inspiration was Melissa Caringer's "21 Dresses in 21 Days" blog, and specifically the dress that can be found here http://www.etsy.com/listing/47760599/send-your-shirt-to-have-it-made-into-a on her Etsy site. I left the sleeves on so that her mom would let her wear it to church (and also technically break the "no tee shirts at church" rule that my very conservative sister has :P). I think it turned out just lovely! Since I made it out of a couple of shirts that were slated for the rag box, it was virtually free. Yay! I like cheap!
