You Will Need (11 things)

  • 2 tbsp Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 2 tbsp Black Lava Salt
  • 2 tbsp Red Clay Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Grounded Dead Sea Salt
  • ½ cup Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Corn Starch
  • 1 or 2 Egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Almond Oil (Or Any Light Oil)
  • Fragrance / Essential Oil (Choc. Chip Cookies Or Smores)
  • Bowl(s) , Cookie Sheet, Cookie Cutters And Gloves (Optional)
  • ¼ tsp Vitamin E Oil Or Jojoba Oil

Steps (9 steps, 120 minutes)

  1. 1

    So here's what you do:

Take all of the salts and blend them. I don't mean mix but I mean put them in a blender and pulvarize them till they are a fine powder. Depending on your blender this can take a few tries until you get it right. They should come out looking like grey powder.

Also please DO NOT use the same blender you would for food. Though it is salt, cross contamination is not something to mess with.

  2. 2

Once blended into a fine powder, add your Corn Starch and Baking Soda. With this you want to fold it in. What the heck is "fold it in?" It's when you blend it like your folding. Your doing it hand over hand to make sure the powder fumes are not going every where. If it does you will start to sneeze!

How you can tell it's folded enough, it will start to feel like baby powder, light and fluffy.

  3. 3

At this point turn you oven on. I do mines at 250* b/c you don't want them to burn but you do want a even cook.

  4. 4

While the oven is on and you have you salt mixture folded and ready.
Get another bowl and crack open one egg and 2 tbsp of any light oil. Grapeseed, Sweet Almond or Canola, work just great! Start to mix like your going to fix scambled eggs. Also toss in your Vit E or Jojoba oil too.

  5. 5

So now you have your two bases ready.

Start to slowly pour your egg mixture into your salt mixture. Now this is where it gets a little tricky. You want to get it to the consistancy of Dough so you have to pour and mix, pour and mix until you feel it's at that point. You want it to be able to hold it's form and be a little tacky to your hand but not mushy or too dry.

So with this step it's all about patience. If your mixture it too dry start to add more egg mixture. If it's too mushy then start to add baking soda or salt (blended of course) And if you need to you can blend a 2nd egg up and pour slowly to get that Doughy consistancy.

I can't promise you it will turn out right the first time but it's reall a trial and error. It took me many of test batches to figure it out and get it to my licking , so I can only pass on the way that works for me.
I say that not to be mean but to avoid the "why didn't mines do this" statements. It's really a trial and error :-)

  6. 6

Okay, once you got the Dough mixture together, you add in your fragrance. About 6-8 drops will do the trick! And mix it up some more!!!

  7. 7

Now here's where you can get creative. Either hand form your cookie shapes or be daring and try to roll it out like dough and use a cookie cutter!!

Once you've done that, what I do is take some Pam Cooking Spray and spray my sheet so that the cookies do not stick.

  8. 8

Let these cuties sit in the oven for about 10 minutes or until they are hard and voila', your done!

  9. 9

Now most may ask, why the heck would you want a Bath Cookie and what does it do?!

It's Bath Salts with a twist! You can either let it melt down in your tub for medicinal purposes (just like regular bath salts) OR you can let it sit in water for about 3-5 minutes and use it for a body scrub!
So it's plenty of ways you can use them!!

Be careful to keep out the reach of little finger or greedy big fingers, lol. Also label, labe, label!!!!
