Instructions

  1. 1. Ribbing: Loosely CO 76 sts using the long tail cast on method using the smaller needle. Being careful not to twist, join in the round and place a stitch marker to indicate the beginning of the round. (k2, p2)19x around for 5 rounds total. Switch to the larger needle: [(p1, k1tbl, p1), k10, p2, k9, k2tog] Next 2 rounds: [(p1, k1tbl, p1), k10, p2, k10]

Body of Hat: (see Sweet Leaf Lace chart) Round 1 and all odd rounds: (p1, k1tbl, p1, k10, p2, k10)3x around Round 2: [(p1, k1tbl, k10), k6, sskp, yo, k1, yo, p2, yo, k1, yo, sk2p, k6]3x around Round 4: [(p1, k1tbl, k10), k4, sskp, k1, (yo, k1)2x, p2, k1, (yo, k1)2x, sk2p, k4]3x around Round 6: [(p1, k1tbl, k10), k2, sskp, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, p2, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, sk2p, k2]3x around Round 8: [(p1, k1tbl, k10), sskp, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, p2, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, sk2p]3x around Repeat these 8 rounds, twice more. 3 repeats (24 rounds) total.
