Wow all your friends with this star-studded belt!
Wow all your friends with this star-studded belt – which looks just as good worn over a slinky evening dress as it does with a pair of jeans. The buttons and long beaded tassels at each end encourage it to drape elegantly down from the hips or waist. Now you can be a superstar any night of the week!

SIZE
Approximately 3.5cm (13⁄8in) wide; and the desired length to suit your individual size.

MATERIALS
Pair 3.00mm (US 2–3) needles
Yarn
Rowan Wool Cotton
50g (13⁄4oz) per ball
956 Coffee Rich 2

Extras
Beads: approx. 1020 silver and 210 pearl × 3mm (1⁄8in) beads
20 Star-shaped pearl buttons

Tension (gauge)
32 sts and 52 rows to 10cm (4in) measured over beaded patt using 3.00mm (US 2–3) needles.

special abbreviation
make beaded loop = Knit next st leaving st on LH, slide 43 beads up the yarn so that they are sitting close to the needle and wrap the yarn with 43 beads round thumb of either hand to make a loop, take yarn between the needles to back of work and knit same st again, this time slipping st off LH needle. Lift the extra st just made over this loop and off the needle.

NOTE: The belt is knitted in two separate halves, which are joined together after knitting. The stitches determine the width of the belt and the rows determine the length of it.
