My friend's favorite character is superman, so I decided to make him a pillow and since he writes music I decided to incorporate that into the symbol.

  • Fabric Pen (s)To Trace logo with, or you can use a regular ink pen
  • Straight Pins
  • Scissors

Steps (8 steps, 230 minutes)

  1. 1

First you want to find a superman logo which you can find on the internet or draw it on your own. I took mine from the following site.
    http://www.vectortemplates.com/raster-superman.php

  2. 2

After getting logo and printing it out you want to cut the logo out and then proceed to pinning the logo to the back side of your music note fabric square (or whatever fabric you use) and trace it then cut it out of the fabric.

  3. 3

After getting your logo cut out of the fabric square you then want to use your scrap red fabric and pin the logo behind the scrap fabric and trace around the logo creating a diamond then cut any extra fabric around the logo.

  4. 4

Now that you have your logo and your background cut out pin the logo to the right side of the red fabric (the side you didnt trace on). You now need to layout your blue fabric or 1 bandana and place your logo in the center of your material and re-pin.

  5. 5

Now break out the needle and thread using either black or navy thread sew your logo and background to the center of you material outlining the outter edge and inside opening where the red shows through, I recommend using two pieces of thread at once while hand sewing the outline.

  6. 6

After sewing your logo onto your fabric remove all your straight pins. Now get your second bandana or piece of fabric and pin the fabric to the second piece having the logo face down. Using your sewing machine or needle and thread sew around the outter edges leaving a small opening.

  7. 7

Now that you've completed most of your sewing you can proceed to pulling the inside of your fabric with your design to the outside. After bringing all you fabric back out you can begin to stuff your pillow.

  8. 8

When stuffing your pillow begin with the inside corners, after you have finish stuffing your pillow fold the loose corner fabric to the inside, pin, and using navy thread complete your pillow by sewing it shut and your done. :-)
