About

I made this on my birthday March 21st. I was bored so I made a how-to for this little owl pin cushion and later when I was done I gave it to my mom. She smiled real big and said awwwww its so super cute. I hope you like it as much as she did. It would be really cool if you change up the colors, size or even the rose to something else and put it on her as your own version, that would be a good birthday present to me from you guys.

Peace out...

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Burgandy Yarn
  • Felt
  • Thread
  • Crochet Hook
  • Sewing Needle
  • Stuffing

Steps (25 steps, 180 minutes)

  1. 1

Ok so lets gather all of the materials. You will need...

    Baby pink felt...
    Tan felt...
    Scissors...
A small or medium size crochet hook...
    White thread...
    Light tan thread...
    Sewing needle...
    Burgandy yarn...
    Doll stuffing...
    Lots of love...

Remember you can change these things or the colors if you want.

  2. 2

Cut out the shapes out of the baby pink felt. Any size want. The two owl peices have to be identical.
Also cut a oval shape kinda like the one I cut. This peice will go on the bottom.

  3. 3

You now can cut the face out of the tan felt like I did. Design the face any way you want using the thread or like I did however you want. Next sew the face on one of the peices that you gonna use for the front.

  4. 4

Now get the yarn and crochet hook, because we're gonna make a rose now.

  5. 5

    Chain 5...
Slip stitch in the fifth chain...
You have now made a round hoop. single crochet ten times in the middle.

  6. 6

Finish off and cut hanging yarn. It should look like a rose.

Sew the rose on the front peice by the face.

  7. 7

Use the tan felt and cut out 7 little have circles. These are gonna be the chest feathers. The can be different sizes like I did.

  8. 8

use the tan thread and sew four at the bottom.

  9. 9

    Kinda like this...

  10. 10

Now sew the last three on top, it should kinda look like a pyramid like in the picture. Finish of and cut left over thread.

  11. 11

Sew the oval shape on the bottomusing a blanket stitch. Just like in the picture.

  12. 12

You do it all the way across. Heres example on what it should look like...

  13. 13

Cut the rest of the left over thread off. This is what it looks like finished.

  14. 14

Now get the white thread, sewing needle, and the other side of the owl.

  15. 15

Ok now sew the back side on the front side of the owl using the blanket stitch, just like this.

  16. 16

Sew all the way around, but leave a space at the top for when we stuff it. It should look like this on the left and right side.

  17. 17

    The bottom looks like this.

    Yay! We're almost done!

  18. 18

here's the opening at the top. You can stuff it now. Stuff it however much you want to. Sew up the top were the hole it using the blanket stitch.

  19. 19

Here's some pics of what it looks like.

  20. 20

    SIDE...

  21. 21

    FRONT...

  22. 22

    BACK...

  23. 23

Now you don't to do this but if you want to cut some little wings out.

  24. 24

Sew one on the left side and the right side. Finish off...

  25. 25
