Make some wire Daisy Dangle Earrings

About

You can create these small wire flowers out of any coloured wire to embellish any of your jewellery pieces: creating daisy chain necklaces and bracelets, wiring them onto rings, etc... Don't worry if your first couple of attempts are a bit misshapen, it does take a little practice!

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Tools required:

  • Round, flat and chain nosed Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • Materials required:

  • 20 -gauge/0.8mm Wire
  • 2 x Ready made fish hook Ear Wires
  • 2 x 4mm Bead(s)

Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Working directly from a spool of 20-gauge wire, place your round nosed pliers about 1” from the end and form an elongated loop.

  2. 2

Place your round nosed pliers about 1” away from the first loop and create a second looped petal.

  3. 3

Repeat to form 5 looped petals in total, then cut from the spool leaving about 2” of wire projecting from the flower.

  4. 4

Take the short cut end and wrap that around the centre of the flower to secure. Squash it down with the tips of your chain nosed pliers.

  5. 5

Create a tight spiral with the projecting end of the wire, curling it in towards the flower. Once it's at the centre flip it over, so that it sits in the middle of the flower.

  6. 6

You can create 2 daisies to suspend onto your earrings, plus a small drop bead, with headpin and link … depending on how dangly you like your earrings to be!
