Fluffy, multi-purpose tube of warmth!
An idea for an abandoned scarf project in alternating grey and white fluffy double knitting.

I think I cast on about 45 stitches (started this ages ago and lost it!), knit one row, then purl one row for 20 rows, change colours, repeat and change colours again. Cast off after the last 20 rows, stitch ends together with left over wool, being careful not go over the light wool with dark and vice versa. Viola.

Was going to be quite a wide and thick scarf, but got bored and decided to sew up the ends to make a headband instead. Perfect for the winter, and can actually still keep the neck pretty warm!

Time depends largely on how quickly you can knit! I'm a beginner so it takes me a longish time.
