I had a pair of ripped panyhose and some old seed beads lying around so I came up with this idea- this is my first how-to so I hope you like (and understand) it^^ Note on the beads/wire- it will take far less time if you buy beads that are already on wire (I have some like that), but stringing on your own beads works just as well.

Description

I had a pair of ripped panyhose and some old seed beads lying around so I came up with this idea- this is my first how-to so I hope you like (and understand) it^^ Note on the beads/wire- it will take far less time if you buy beads that are already on wire (I have some like that), but stringing on your own beads works just as well.

Instructions

  1. Small craft 017 1247588889

First, find a pair of old pantyhose, it doesn't matter if it has a run or not (unless it has a HUGE hole). Then cut it off at the top of the leg hole and then cut the toe off.

  2. Small craft 018 1247589139

Slide the cut panty hose on your arm and begin to roll the end towards your hand. Continue rolling it until it looks somewhat like a doughnut.

  3. Small craft 019 1247589351

It should look like this before gluing- Smooth the edges and use your glue (I used an elmers glue stick, but any glue would work) to keep the ends from getting loose.

  4. If you are using pre-strung beads (on the wire) skip to the step 4. If you aren't you need to string your seed beads onto the wire (you will need enough to loop all the way around the bracelt), it is suggested that you tie one end of the wire to the pantyhose and string your beads as you loop so that you do not run out.

  5. Now with your beads on the wire, tie the string in a knot on the pantyhose. Continue to wrap the beads around the hose until you have gone all the way around. Tie and cut the wire. Voila! Your bracelt is finished!
