A sweet and delicious new treat.
This all started from a hunt through the kitchen. I was in a French Toast mood, but we had no bread. So I used hamburger buns. Then got some strawberries and went wild! Here is my brief methods of making this sweet and delicious treat. It's easy to make and should please anyone with a sweet tooth and love for strawberries and french toast. Of course. I'm positive this recipe could work for any fruit you'd like to put inside.

When I starting making this recipe more I'll had progress pictures int he steps below.

  • Step 1

    Gather your ingredients.:
Plain hamburger buns (no sesame seeds)
    eggs
    Cinnamon sugar
    Vanilla extract
    Strawberries fresh or frozen
    Sugar
    Whipped cream
    Confectioners sugar

  • Step 2

In a microwave safe bowl place your strawberries (I used around 6 for a serving of two French Burgers). Pour about a fourth cup of sugar in and microwave. I went 1 minute at a time. Basically you want to get all the sugar dissolved into the strawberry juices. When done mash the strawberries down to the size you want. And set aside.

  • Step 3

Get a bowl and crack eggs into it (I used two for a serving of two French Burgers). Mix till the whites and yolk have become one. Mix in cinnamon sugar and vanilla extract to taste. I have no measurement for that because I put in how I feel I can handle.

  • Step 4

Prepare your frying pan. I usually put the heat to around 5 or 6 only because I like my food to cook quickly. Grab a hamburger bun (one part at a time...so all in all you'll be cooking four parts if you have a serving of two). Dip both sides int he egg batter and then fry till golden brown or to your taste.

  • Step 5

Place the finished bottoms of the burgers on a plate and spread whipped cream on each. Then place the strawberry chunks on top. Put the top pieces on and then pour the strawberry juices on top. End with a light sprinkle of confectioner's sugar. And enjoy!

  • Step 6

Remember this recipe is for a serving of two. But it can be adjusted to more servings. And you can replace the strawberries with your favourite fruit. You can even replace the whipped cream with whatever spread you want. Experiment a little and have fun!
