Make a cover for your stool with this easy tutorial!
The materials! Specifications: - Make sure you have enough tissue to cover your stool from foot to foot. - The elastic needs to be 2/3 of the diameter of the seating part. - If you can afford an impermeable tissue, it is easier to clean!
- Open the tissue over the table (the AVESSO up); - Put the stool with the seating part over the tissue; - Mark the seating part with the pencil.
- Add 3,5 cm or more to the circle you draw; - Cut it.
- Sew the elastic in a circle; - Make sure it is in the right side to side. - I used the zig zag stitch to UNIR the elastic, but you can make it by your choice.
- It will be like this.
- Put a sewing pin in the part of the elastic you have sewed unite; - Place another pin in the oposite side.
- It will be like this.
- Put together the both pins and add another pin in the oposite sides that are away from each other, and add the last pin in the other side.
- It will be like this.
- In the tissue, place a "cross" in the center with your ruler and your pencil.
- In the 4 ends of the "X", place a mark. In these marks you will attach the 4 pins you pinned in the elastic.
- Place the pins in each mark.
- It will be like this.
- Time to sew! - Make sure to always pull the elastic, so the tissue will kilt itself.
- Sew with the zig zag sitch in the corner of the elastic with the tissue; - In this step you will be making also the finishing. - Make sure to tie up loose ends with the sewing machine.
- Finished! Congratulations! - Now, just place it on your stool.
Pretty cute! <3
