Turn boring knee socks into something more fun.
I love to wear skirts and flip flops, but I live in a cold area. So, before tight season, leg warmers will do! These really only involve cutting, although I think I am going to do some sort of edging/hem around the foot and heel opening.

    Start with a pair of knee socks. The ones with the colored heels and toes are handy because it makes it obvious where to cut.

    Cut out toe as far as you want your foot covered. Cut out the heel. You're done!

I am doing an overcast stitch on the raw edges now. I'm not the seamstress, but I think it should prevent tearing and more fraying :-P

I do this too! Though I cut the stirrups off after they started to curl on me xP It's a sneaky way to keep your legs warm under pants.
