Steampunk Goggles

Oggle my Goggles

Based on a tutorial on Instructables.com. With bits and pieces from a thrift store I made these steampunk style goggles. They aren't the best job and I hope to make some better ones in the future. The most unusual thing about these is that one of the things these are made from is a baseball. The original tutorial used Gatorade lids for the eyepieces of the goggles. I used plastic wheels from a toy car...but plastic lids from a drink such as Gatorade would have been a lot easier to cut. These goggles actually took me a really long time to make and were hard to do (more than I stated) simply because of cutting the center from the wheels. But if you follow the original idea of using plastic lids it should be pretty easy. I also used elastic instead of denim for the straps that the original tutorial called for.
