I know from the list of things you will need that it looks like an expensive project, but it doesn't have to be. I made these earrings from things I already had at my house, which is why I went with the star theme. You can adapt this project to pretty much any theme if you want to. I had a box of the price tags from Staples (an office supply store in the U.S.) I took some white tissue paper and stamped the star pattern all over a section of it. The paper was Mod Podged to the price tags, carefully overlapping it as I went around the tags, and allowed them to dry. I trimmed any excess around the edges with scrapbooking scissors. Then I glued the star embellishments on. The tags already had small holes at the top, but I wanted the be sure that the rings and hooks would not tear off. I used my eyelet kit to attach the two eyelets for reinforcement. Using the jewelry pliers, I attached the jump rings and earring hooks.
