I made this wreath with things I bought at the dollar store and things I had at home. All in all, I bought two bunches of flowers and the wooden wreath, for a total of three dollars (and 18 cents in tax.) I had the ribbon leftover from my fall wreath, and I used a piece of picture hanging wire for the hanger. I love making these-- they're quick, easy and come out really lovely. It's a fun and cheap way to brighten up your front door! Sorry there are no pictures-- I didn't think about it until the wreath was already completed, and then I didn't want to take it apart.

Take the flowers and push the leaves up near the top of the stem, then cut them from the bunch with the wire cutters. I like to leave about 3-4 inches of stem so that I can attach them to the wreath without using any glue.
Tuck one end of the wire reinforced ribbon into the wreath (try to keep the tuck-in on the back side of the wreath), then wrap the ribbon around the wreath. Tuck the end into the back side of the wreath as well.
Arrange and attach the flowers as you wish (I kind of tend to put a cluster of 4 or so flowers on one side of the wreath, then clusters of 1 or 2 around the rest of the wreath, but you can, of course, do whatever looks great to you.) The flowers are attached by tucking the stem into the wreath-- you can either slide it into the wreath the whole way or just wrap it around the wreath (I used both methods, depending on how the flower sat on the wreath.)
Snip off a short (3-4 inches) length of the picture hanging wire and attach it to the top of your wreath. Voila! A pretty spring/summer wreath for your front door for your neighbors to envy, and it cost you less than five dollars!
