Spool Magnets

Leaving a 4 inch tail of thread pointing down toward the bottom of the spool, wrap the embroidery thread around the spool until you have one full layer covering it, so you can't see the wood underneath. Then tie the thread with the tail near the bottom. Trim off the threads.
Measure and cut your magnet strips. Then using the hot glue, stick them on the backs of the spools, covering your knot in the thread. Make sure you press really hard for a minute to get a good stick.
