Description

This is a quick and easy technique for creating contrasting designs. I have used on bag handles. Same thing can be applied for Bangles or other accessories as well.

Instructions

  1. Small baghandles

Materials Needed: 3/4th inch wide ribbons. Each 1 meter long. Wooden ring / or the object you wish to use as the handles. I used a 5 inch diameter ring. I used gold lace and a strip cut out from the fabric I used for the bag. Finished the edges with pinking shears.

  2. Small baghandles2

Place the first strip at a diagonal and fold and hand sew along the yellow line. Leave the thread and needle.

  3. Small baghandles3

Hold the stitched part firm and start winding the tape at the same angle along the ring. When the ring is covered completely sew the other end of the tape and knot.

  4. Small baghandles4

Repeat with the contrast tape in the opposite direction leaving gaps in between. And Tada Its Done!!
