Description

I made this toiletpaper holder from a snowchain i got for 50cents at a fleemarket :) It's meant to hold 4 rolls of toiletpaper of wich the bottom one is used (the rest is stock)

Instructions

  1. Small dsc 0595

Take a snowchain, mine looked like 6 times a H with a chain on top and bottom to keep it together. I don't know how snowchains from other brands look. First we are going to take the H-shapes appart from the chain.

  2. Small dsc 0597

To get loose H shapes. Put the links that keep the H and the chain together with their back in the vice. an use a screwdriver to open them. You will need these links to put the H-shapes together later!!

  3. Small dsc 0596

Find someone who is used to handeling power tools to cut the chain. Cut the link where i drew the red line. On al the H you are using (i used 4)

  4. Small dsc 0591

Now we are going to reasamble the parts to be a toiletpaper holder. Snowchains aint straigt, so check if the spaces between the holders are even, else turn the chain arround so it is. I used the vice to close those links from step 2 again, since i didn't managed to do so with a hammer. It shoot look something like the image now. (arrows point at those links from step 2)

  5. Small dsc 0598

With the snowchain set came also this rubber band with hooks. I cut the rubber band, and opened the hooks. (in the vice with a screwdriver) Now attach those hooks to those little loose chains (i used the vice to close them)

  6. Small dsc 0593

And well then you are done I chose to use the thing that probably gets used to attach the chains to cartires. So people sitting on my toilet may see it is assembled from a snowchain.
