wrap yarn around ruler 15 or so times (Note: you can do a different length, but I used s ruler) cut at one end and then tie a not at on of the new ends.
braid from the not till you get about 3inches from the end. tie it off with string.
take pet hair brush and brush out end of tail. start from the bottom and work your way up. lots of yarn bits will come out on the brush.
take a 3inch by 3inch cardboard square and wrap yarn around it 20 to 30 times. tie I piece of string at the top (as tightly as possible). cut it at the bottom. NOTE: you will be making a BUTT-LOAD of these so be prepared O_O
it will look like a tassel
brush it out with the pet hair brush until its fluffy and looks like fur. leave the tow ends of the string alone
after you make a few, start tie-ing them on. tie them about 1 cm apart on the braid. this is hard to explain, but as you go upward, tie it in a circular spiral 'thing' (side 1, side 2, side 3, side 4, repeat)
continue all the way to the top
when you get to the top, I took a needle and some string and sew up the top so it doesn't come apart
sew on a loop at the top and your done
