Iron Cross and Skull Coat Rack
This project took me about 2 hours, but keep in mind that the time frame did not include cutting the wood or finishing it. The particular piece of wood I chose was a spare piece of wood that had broken off of an old TV stand and was already finished. I simply drew the design I liked, and painted it, followed by adding the nails I had on hand and hanging brackets on the back. I would recommend choosing an unfinished piece of lumber about the size you need to efficiently hang the desired amount of coats, towels, or hoodies, as a finished piece did make the design a bit more difficult for me draw my design on before I painted it. This will also give you a better opportunity to use a wood burning pen to etch your design. Also, I recommend using hooks made for hanging towels or clothing as the nails have the potential to snag clothing. I needed somewhere to hang my jackets and hoodies and used what I had handy.
