I bought an ugly shirt for 35c at a yard sale. Then I got to sewing.
Bought this for 35c at a yard sale and was really not feeling the elastic neckline or the elasticized sleeves. So I cut the shirt right below the sleeves, turned it upside down, did some hemming and some pleating then cut the sleeves open and into strips twice the width of the final straps then sewed them into inside out tubes. After that I just turned them right side out and attached them to the skirt portion. Tada!

Thank you! I had fun making it, I love adding new things to my wardrobe but shopping is such a hassle. And, honestly, it's just not as fun as making it yourself!

Thank you! I like it, too! Not too hard to make either! (The stretch of the fabric definitely helped, a regular t-shirt wouldn't have the same 'swish' in the skirt.)
