About

Because of my later on driveable maded home, i had some nasty draft from no longer good closed doors. My doors became to short after they had taken away my sills;-S
I'm always works on the floor, i like that, there is more space and all the things that fallen down out of my hands falling just next to me.
Really smart huh?!!!LOL
But there was many draught and it was to cold. So i tought why not making of all the package of the litter they are really strong and has a beautifull bright colour a draft with zipper without sewing and of course using my stapler and duct tape.;-D

I had chosen for plastic, because they lay on the ground and sometimes the floor is wet so fabric wasn't a swell idea.;-)
And of course you can pick your own choise of materials, i think i\ve you have mexican oilcloth its swelll tooo. only i hadn't that material.LOL

Of course you can fit the measures of this project on your own home door measures.;-D You only have to chance the large of the filler piece.

I hope you like it and have fun with the making of.;-D

  • Plastic Bag(s) from the litter.
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Staples 500 will do
  • Staple Remover
  • large size! Duct Tape
  • old large Zipper
  • Ball Pen

Steps (36 steps, 120 minutes)

  1. 1

    Gatger all your materials together.

Cut the plastic bag open and wash and clean him clean with soap. And dried him with some paper of fabric.

  2. 2

Lay the bag open on the ground of table.;-D
Pick some round shape object, i used my CD-R recordable Spindle and the ball pen.

  3. 3

Put the spindle on the bag and turn with the ball pen or marker the spindle round.
    Just for two times.

  4. 4

Just for two times. like this, humm i thinkyou must click on the pict. to see it better;-D

  5. 5

    cut them out.
the measures of the circles are 14 cm/5,5 inches.

  6. 6

Now we must start on the filler piece.
    its a rectangle shape.
    measures are: 45 cm/ 18 inches x 80cm/31,5 inches.
If your doorgate is 80cm/31,5 inches.

  7. 7

cut it out, and your finisched with this part.
    Now much more fun;-D

  8. 8

    Duct taping part.Yessss!!!!:

Lay the right side down of your fillingpiece to the floor.
Start with duct taping. I 've you're smart, i supose you're.LOL
You duct tape it to on the floor its much easyer that way. I have first duct taped the downside and the upside with a stroke on the floor, Your fabric lays tight on the floor and couldn't move anymore.

  9. 9

When you have finished it look this way.;-D

  10. 10

Pull carefully the fabric off the floor, and turn it over.
nNw you see that the tape isn't yet fit,

  11. 11

Cut those duct tape of so you become a neat piece again.
on both sides, please click on the pict to see it better.

  12. 12

    for the circles
You only have to repeat the steps 8 till 11.

  13. 13

    the zipper:
I had this large one, i've you haven't a large on you can use two small zippers in opposite direction.
Because the material is thick and heavy you need a large opening to turn over the fabric when you have put all the things together.

Lay the good site of the zipper downsite on the goodside of the fabric.
staple it with some staples fast on the fabric, not to close to the teeth of the zipper!

  14. 14

    Like this pict.

  15. 15

Fold the right side in two, like the pict, the left side is now above.!

  16. 16

Staple with a few staplers the seccond side fast.

  17. 17

When he is tied up with the few staplers, do some more, so that you get a nice steplers linge like the pict show you.;-)

  18. 18

Now you must make a row of staplers on the last piece without the zipper.

  19. 19

Okay this side is done, the zipper is tied and the last piece without too.
Stroke the seam with your hand open.

    Please be carefull
Staplers i have noticed are sharp.Iewww.
So mayby gather some bandage to your material list too.LOL

  20. 20

Okay i had some bandage needed.LOL

    we go on.

  21. 21

fix the seam with duct tape and the zipper too.
Just over the staplers, so you can make easily open and close your zipper.

  22. 22

    like on this closeup pict.;-)

  23. 23

On the last part without the zipper duct tape a extra part just accross the middle of the open seam.

  24. 24

Now you're ready to begin with the cirkels.

  25. 25

Fold in half the circle, like the pict.

  26. 26

    Fold it again.
Do this with the other circle too.

  27. 27

Put the 2 folding linges you made in the cirkel to in the fitting tube. and staple the two first points together.

  28. 28

    Now the other 2 .
Pay attention, i started on the zipper side to tied the circle on.

  29. 29

Open the zipper and make more staplers in the fabric like a sewing linge.

  30. 30

Duct the stapler linge. Begin just before the the zipper with the duct taping.
    Go all a round.

  31. 31

End over the starting point just over the zipper. So its much stonger now.

  32. 32

Pusch the half of the on used ducttape now inside over the stapler, push the tape tight over.

  33. 33

Okay now you must tied down the other circle in the tube with staplers and duct tape.

Then you have make the tube almost finsiched.

  34. 34

    turn the inside out.

  35. 35

Take the cat litter , i always use this for my cats, but there are much more variations, take the cheapest one.
You must use this, it will stay because of it heavyness closed to the floor and fits in all the directions you wanted.;-D

  36. 36

When you have filled the draft 2/3 then you can pull the zipper on and you're ready.Yeahhhhh!

set the draft in front of where you have the problems and i hope you had a lot of fun with the making of and much profit of it and much more comfort.:-D
    I do!;-D
