Description

Follow this tutorial to make your own rope wrapped basket to use as storage for just about anything.

Instructions

  1. Small 106952 2f2015 01 21 034437 dsc 0601

Gather your materials. You can find a small laundry basket at the Dollar Store! If yours isn't white, consider spray painting it so that the basket will be better disguised by the rope. Choose a twisted sisal rope that's fairly large around, which you can find at any hardware store.

Starting on the bottom of the basket, glue down the end of the rope. Once dried, continue to glue the rope down in a spiral pattern. If you run out of rope, continue a new strand where you left off.

Continue gluing and wrapping the entire basket until you reach the top and handles. It's a long process but will go quickly if you just relax and watch TV or something while you glue! Fill with blankets or other items for stylish storage.
