my husband donated a bunch of his old t-shirts to me that he doesn't wear anymore. i worked some magic to create new tops for me, since i never seem to find anything in stores that i want to wear. bonus- it was freeeee!

start with a too-big t-shirt. i think this one was an XL.
i laid a shirt that fit me well on top, and sliced off the sides of the tee, up through the sleeves. i left it a little wider, especially near the top so it had room to move. i cut the hems off the sleeves so they weren't quite so long.
here the neckline is cut away, out a little further at the top to fall off the shoulder. i cut the hems off the sleeves so they wouldn't be quite so long, then cut off the bottom hem in a curved shape to give it a more feminine look. plus it was super long. then i just sewed up the sides, right sides facing in obviously. i left the sleeves, neck, and bottom unhemmed cos i just like that look it gets when the fabric rolls up. i like things that are unperfect, proves its uniqueness, i guess :)
then you try that sucker on and strut your stuff!
yuuuuuuuup, that's a bad-ass shirt right there! super comfy, feels like i'm just bumming around when i wear it, but it's fashionable! i have two kids, so fashion usually doesn't play a role in my day-to-day life. and now, it can!
