Simplicity patterns are frequently bigger than they should be and I went down 1 size. It's still a bit big, so I'll go down another size before I start on the next one. What I used: 1 hook and eye (top of zipper to prevent unzipping) 1 separating black zipper (will do this on the next one because I'm lazy) 44 eyelets for lacing the back (I wanted them close together for flat, even lacing) 46 "bones" - a mix of plastic zip ties, rigilene, and pre-cased plastic boning 2 layers of white cotton fabric I bought from VoA for 4 dollars (and have a TON of it) 2 brown shoelaces (off my old boots) for lacing up the back The black edging I made from the fabric off of one of my roomate's old skirts that the elastic went bad in the waist band All in all, I'm very happy with the results. I only get 1 inch of reduction, however, and will need to make the next one smaller as it, like the fuzzy green one, can be laced entirely shut in the back - and there should be a gap of 1 inch.
