• Step 2

  2. K1, P2, *K2, P2, repeat from * to end

  Repeat these 2 rows once

• Step 3

  1, Knit
  2. Purl
  3. *K2tog, yo, repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  4. Purl
  5. Knit

• Step 4

  1. K1, P2 *K2, P2, repeat from * to end
  2. K2, *P2, K2, repeat from * to last stitch, K1

  Repeat these 2 rows once

  Cast off

• Step 5

  Cast on 30 stitches

  1.* K2, P2, repeat from * to end
  Repeat this row 3 more times

  Cast off.

  Sew this piece of "elastic" to the main part of the headband (the ends should sit nicely between the ribbing on the main part)

• Step 6

  If you like, add an embellishment such as a flower or bow.
