I made this dress from Gertie's Front Drape Cocktail pattern (Butterick B5814). I bought some 100 percent silk fabric, lining, a hidden zipper and boning. Her instructions are incredibly clear, and she take a lot of time to construct her pieces. If you are new to vintage patterns, I would definitely recommend starting with her stuff.
