I love Zooey Deschanels signature makeup look. She's famous for her beautiful blue doe eyes and keeping her cheeks and lips in a harmonious soft rose flush. The greatest thing about her look is that it's totally universal and really simple to recreate on all skintones and face shapes.

Apply your base. If you have pretty even skin tone then you can use a light/medium coverage foundation with a natural or semi matte finish. If, like me, you have hyperpigmentation use a medium to full coverage foundation. Conceal under the eyes and where necessary. Lightly powder to set.
Fill in your eyebrows with powder if you naturally have dark full brown apply lightly or not at all. Over all just try to keep them natural.
Take a medium tone brown and blend all over eyelid and up into crease.
Take a black eyeliner (liquid, gel, or pen) and line your lash line. Do not apply a flick on the outer corner. If you want to accent a rounder shape follow your natural line slightly farther down. Apply a fleshtone eyeliner on lower waterline. Next apply a generous amount of mascara and a full but natural pair of false eyelashes.
Next apply your lipstick you want a soft rose hue that complements your skin tone. And Layer on a sheer pink lipgloss.
For Blush I layered on a natural pink then went over top with a little bit of my lipstick color on top.
Apply a shimmery(or matte) white eyeshadow on to your inner corner and any other places you typically like your highlighter. Zooey Keeps it very fresh and simple so I opted out of using bronzer if you can't live without a contour use a very neutral shape and apply lightly.
And you're done!
