first i took a pair of shorts i liked and made a pattern from them, and cut up an old dress shirt i found at my local good will, and with some frustration and curse words later, i ended up with this. it was my first time sewing pockets (and shorts), but i accidentally made the pockets really small. i wanted to make sure that i had the buttons from the front placket of the shirt on there. i used fabric from another flannel shirt for the hem. i got the idea for this from a project i found on threadbanger. go check it out!
