This is a pretty easy project that you can make in about an hour. All you need is some green yarn and a crochet hook. You could also make a second side for your potholder and make it extra thick, because mine came out to be more like a dishrag.

Pattern: Ch 4, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring. Round 1: Work 2 sc in the ring, (ch 3,. sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in the next ch, sc in the ring) 3 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (You should have 3 “branches”) Round 2: Sl st in the next sc, *(sc in the base of the first foundation ch of the next branch, hdc in the next foundation ch of the same branch, 5 dc in the bar at the tip of the branch, working along the other side of the same branch, hdc in the next sc, sc in the next sc) sl st in the next sc that’s worked in the ring* Repeat from * to * 2 times; do not join.
