A quick little pot holder I made for St Patricks Day
This is a pretty easy project that you can make in about an hour. All you need is some green yarn and a crochet hook. You could also make a second side for your potholder and make it extra thick, because mine came out to be more like a dishrag.

You Will Need

Step 1Pattern:
Ch 4, join with a sl st in the first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: Work 2 sc in the ring, (ch 3,. sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in the next ch, sc in the ring) 3 times; join with a sl st in the first sc. (You should have 3 “branches”)
Round 2: Sl st in the next sc, *(sc in the base of the first foundation ch of the next branch, hdc in the next foundation ch of the same branch, 5 dc in the bar at the tip of the branch, working along the other side of the same branch, hdc in the next sc, sc in the next sc) sl st in the next sc that’s worked in the ring* Repeat from * to * 2 times; do not join.
Round 3: Sl st in each of the next 2 sl st’s, *skip next sc, sc in the next hdc, 2 dc in each of the next 2 dc, sc in the next dc, 2 dc in each of the next 2 dc, sc in the next hdc, skip next sc, sl st in the next sl st* Repeat from * to * 2 times; do not join.
Round 4: Sl st in each of the next 2 sl st’s, *skip next sc, sc in the next dc, 2 dc in each of the next 3 dc, sc in the next sc, 2 dc in each of the next 3 dc, sc in the next dc, skip the next sc, sl st in the next sl st.* Repeat from * to * 2 times; do not join.
