Scrappy Purple Ring Necklace

From a Vegemite jar lid and some thread to a necklace, with only a little swearing involved.
I was inspired by this necklace (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L10035.html?newreg=1&r=1), but I wasn't prepared to bother buying the fancy pants yarn or canvas circle. Then I unscrewed a jar of Vegemite and held up the ring tab that detaches from the lid and thought, Eureka! I wound/knotted/forced some embroidery floss around it as neatly as I could, which wasn't very neatly at all, and took ages, and then sewed on some beads and attached a chain.
