I was just curious if it would be possible to knit on a pick or comb. So, I tried it. It actually works really well for a small project!
First, I tried a pick using all the teeth. I kept weaving it too tight and couldn't get the yarn over the other.
Then, I tried a big fat comb. Much better results. I weaved in and out of every two teeth. Much looser and easier to knit with.
Please post images if you give this a try. I'd love to see them.

This knitting is just like finger weaving or loom knitting.
If you want to try what I did:1. You tie a slip knot over the first 2 teeth of the comb.

2. Weave yarn in and out between every other tooth. (Be sure to keep it loose!)

3. Weave back the other way through the same gaps as before. -

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 once more through same gaps.
5. Get a toothpick or something and grab each lower loop and pull it up over the top one all the way across. -

6. Repeat steps 4-5 over and over til it's long enough.

7. Cut the end of the yarn at least as long as the comb and thread through the last loops and tie off to secure.
NOTE: After much experimenting, I must say what is called "e-wrapping" (twisted knit stitch) is much easier to do for a beginner at knitting looms. You wrap the yarn around each tooth instead of wrapping inbetween. With e-wrap you won't experience the tension problem you do with the regular knit stitch.
