My MIL buys local rice in cloth bags. When I asked what she does with the bags after they are empty, she said she throws them away! (WHAT!?!) So, needless to say, the next few bags became MINE! When you hear bag turned into another bag, it doesn't sound like much of a transformation. But I think it turned out kinda cool. The pictures don't do it any justice tho. They even have a recipe and the history story on them! No lining, but it is canvas fabric so it can handle it. the gold for the handle and on the top was scraps. I barely had enough. Hence the one handle. However, I did attach the handle so it laps over from one side to the other.....well enough support.
