Have an old tacky headband laying around? Follow this step-by-step tutorial to create a brand new accessory for your wardrobe!

Instructions

  1. Small 2 1295811493

Purchase or dig through some fabric you wish to cover your headband with; I chose barbie pink satin. Measure enough fabric to go around the headband. *the longer the fabric the more scrunched your headband will be. *measure a little extra height to make sure it will fit around your headband.

  2. Small 3 1295811777

Once fabric is cut like a long rectangle, fold in half hot dog style and pin all the way down. *only pin one end of the material. *Make sure the material is INSIDE OUT when you sew it.

  3. Small 4 1295811864

Sew it up, leaving one end open so you can slip the headband through.

  4. Small 5 1295811925

using something long such as a chopstick, turn the material inside out so the correct side is visible. To make it easier, use pliers to help.

  5. Small 7 1295812083

Slip the material over the headband and scrunch it up. Glue the end to the headband to hold in place. Hand sew the other end closed and voila!
