Here is a recipe for a tasty, not too sweet, nice and strong sangria I came up with after having one too many super sweet and weak ones at restaurants. I could drink this stuff all day! I hope you like it.

Here is a recipe for a tasty, not too sweet, nice and strong sangria I came up with after having one too many super sweet and weak ones at restaurants. I could drink this stuff all day! I hope you like it.

Instructions

This is what I used. Feel free to add more fruit or change it up a bit.

Cut the orange, lime, and lemon in half. Squeeze one half of each into the pitcher. Slice the other half of each into thin rounds. You can cut the rounds in half to make them easier to eat. Core the apple and slice that into thin slices.

Pour the wine into the pitcher. Make sure to leave room for the fruit. I filled it about 3/4 full. Add in 4 to 6 shots of Brandy to the pitcher depending on how strong you like it. I like to add in a few tablespoons of the maraschino cherry juice from the jar to add a little extra sweetness. Stir.

Plop in the sliced fruit and desired number of cherries. 13 seemed like a good number to me. Stir gently. Set in the frig all day or over night. Now this is the hardest part. Wait Wait Wait. At least 8 hours is good, more is even better.

When your ready to serve, fish out a few pieces of fruit and place in a glass. Fill the glass about 3/4 full with the sangria. Top the glass off with ginger ale, and one more shot of brandy if you'd like it stronger. *trust me* it's pretty strong as it is. Now drink up and Enjoy!
